Founded in 2014, Buea Institute of Technology is a computer software and hardware training institute based in Buea, Cameroon. We are a professional school offering short courses, National diploma programs, Higher National Diploma and Certificate Programmes in Basic Computing, Graphic Design, Web Design, Web Applications Development, Software Development, Computer Maintenance, Computer Networking, Digital Photography, Videography, Software Engineering, Journalism, and Digital Marketing.
BIT Certificate Programmes are highly skill-oriented 4-month programmes designed to get students up and running within the shortest possible time. Each programme begins with introductory-level courses that help students understand the fundamentals of the trade, then delve into advanced courses combined with intensive practical sessions that ground students on the subject matter.
On completion of the programme, students must present a personal project and write an end-of-course exam to be awarded a certificate by Buea Institute of Technology or sit in for the National Supervised Exams by the Ministry of Employment and Vocational Training.
Our National Diploma (ND) programmes are 10-month hands-on training programmes designed by the Ministry of Employment and Vocational Training. Students undertaking any of these programmes complete 9 months of coursework and a 2-month internship placement.
At the end of each programme, students undertake a compulsory exam and successful candidates are awarded a National Diploma in their respective programme of choice.
The Higher National Diploma (HND) is a vocational and career-focused qualification equivalent to the first two years of a bachelor’s degree in Cameroon, and the UK. HND programmes emphasize practical learning, work placements, industry projects, and real-world case studies, making HND graduates attractive to employers seeking candidates with hands-on experience and industry-specific expertise.
Graduates have the option to progress to the final year of a related bachelor’s degree programmes with any university or a direct entry into the job market.
